Seniors
Senior Adult Ministry
Our church has an intentional ministry to, with and for senior adults of our community. The ministry was established in 1996. Since that time this ministry has grown. We currently have over 135 volunteers who are actively serving our senior adult population. We welcome all to become active in this very important part of the church.

Senior Adult Council
Our Senior Adult Council oversees efforts in the following areas:
- Visiting shut-ins
- Publishing the Senior Adult Magazine, The Chariot
- Providing transportation services
- Loaning medical equipment
- Clown Ministry
- Senior Adult social & educational activities
- Senior Theater
In addition to these on-going programs, the Senior Adult Council is invovled in planning for the future.

Covenant Visitors
The Covenant Visitors is a group of 20 lay people who carry out weekly ministry of care and concern to approximately 45 shut-ins. This ministry, in addition to visting, may include occasional shopping trips, meals out and attendance at various church gatherings. In addition to this program, other visiting takes place more informally, friend to friend, neighbor to neighbor.

The Clown Ministry
This growning ministry celebrates the "life, love, and laughter of Christ." The clown group includes persons from 4 years to 80 years. They are especially dedicated to providing cheer to our shut-ins on or near their birthdays. This group is always looking for new clowns!
The Chariot News Magazine
The Chariot is a Senior Adult Ministry magazine published bi-monthly. It is written for and by Senior Adults. Although it is of a special interest to Senior Adults, it is of general interest to persons of all ages. The staff includes over 30 writers, who contribute as they wish, and four editors.
Transportation Services
On any Sunday, 20 to 30 persons are provided transportation to the worship service. This transportation is given by volunteers who use their own cars or who dirve the Church van. In addition to rides to church, transportation is also provided for regular monthly shopping trips and medical appointments.
Medical Equipment Program
Medical equipment of all kinds might be borrowed from the church. The church has an ample supply of wheelchairs, canes, crutches, walkers, personal hygiene equipment, etc.
Terrific Tuesdays
Every other month the Senior Adult Council sponsors a Tuesday luncheon for Seniors and their friends. "Terrific Tuesdays" is a time for relaxed fellowship as well as a time to hear from a variety of persons from our community.
Senior Resource Center
Our church has a resource center designed to make available information relevant to Senior Adults. The Senior Resource Center has phone numbers, informational pamphlets, books, and other items that will help Senior Adults. The Center is located in room 115 which is located just southwest from Grant Fellowship Hall.
